Background

The North Park Community Association is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization with the mission to educate, inform, and empower North Park and its residents. I am a board member of the NPCA and contribute (among other things) my marketing, web, and event planning skills.

Goals and Objectives

Our goal was to draw in more attendees to our community mixer and feature our sponsors and selected non-profit.

Details

This was my first go at a Canva composition; I was fully accustomed to creating things like this in Adobe Creative Cloud, but figured I’d take a stab at using Canva to get a better understanding of how it works.

Unfortunately, our event was canceled due to the very first pandemic shutdowns. We’re planning a return of events in the near future.

Tools Involved

• Canva – to create the flyer itself
• Photoshop – for editing some of the logos provided
• Sony A6000 mirrorless digital camera – for the original photography on location
